What Is a Dialed Number?
In telecommunications, a dialed number (also known as DN) is a number that is assigned to a destination point on a switch that can be reached by dialing. Dialed numbers are sometimes referred to as extension numbers and in contact centers, may be assigned to agent phones. Contact centers may also use the term “dialed number” to refer to the number that a caller used to reach the contact center.
